Accurate Metering Systems, Inc.

Accurate Metering Systems name was chosen because it appropriately described the purpose of the company. The business mission then, as it is today, is to provide accurate and sanitary flowmeters and flowmetering systems to the food, beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical industries in such a manner that they provide more value than alternative methods of measurement.

FLOWMETERS

Accurate's full family of flowmeters is ruggedly constructed and designed for trouble-free operation and maintenance. They are:

Precision engineering and rigid quality control during manufacturing assures a high degree of accuracy during fluid measurement. Our systems technology experience coupled with our large application database gives us the ability to apply a single flowmeter or several flowmeters as part of a continuous system.

An in-house CAD/CAM system and other databased equipment allows us to provide these complete systems for concept development to delivery in a timely and economical manner.

POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT FLOWMETERS

Positive Displacement Flowmeter - CLick for bigger pictureDesigned for maintenance-free performance, the positive displacement flowmeter has only one moving part. As liquid flows through the measuring chamber, it causes the piston to rotate. Each rotation of the piston displaces a precise volume of liquid.

A solid state electronic transducer counts the piston rotations. A positive displacement flowmeter measures volume, unlike other inferential type meters. As a result the meter achieves unmatched accuracy of 0.15% over the entire flow range.

ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOWMETERS

Electromagnetic Flowmeter (click to enlarge)Designed specifically for the dairy, food and beverage industries, the electromagnetic flowmeters carries a 3-A symbol and complies with all USDA sanitary standards. The electronics based digital electromagnetic flowmeter, with an obstructionless flow tube, is ideal for all conductive fluids and slurries. Measurement accuracy and performance are unaffected by suspended solids, particulates, product viscosity, density, specific gravity or temperature.

TURBINE FLOWMETERS

Turbine Flowmeter - CLick for bigger pictureDesigned as an accurate and economical flowmeter for clean non-viscous liquids of 100 cps or less, the turbine flowmeter efficiently handles aggressive and corrosive products such as acids, caustics, vinegar solutions, brine and de-ionized water. As liquid flows through the meter, it causes the rotor to spin. An external non-contact pickup probe counts each passing vane of the rotor as it spins. Each revolution of the rotor equates to a volume of liquid.

ACCUMASS FLOWMETERS

Accumass Flowmeter - CLick for bigger pictureDesigned for applications where formulations and recipes are weight/mass based, this flowmeters' performance and accuracy are unaffected by varying product density, viscosity or temperature. The Coriolis type mass flowmeter features a single tube, double loop design for truly sanitary construction. The single tube allows self draining and full CIP capability, unlike other designs with split tubes.

Ancillary Equipment

Batch Controller - Click to enlargeAir Eliminator (Click to enlarge)Microbatcher (Click to enlarge)Scaling Circuit (Click to enlarge)Pnumatic Sampler (Click to enlarge)Rate/Totalizer (Click to enlarge)AIR ELIMINATOR
A simple and proven way of removing free air from liquids assures accurate metering and protects flowmeters from hydraulic shock. Its rugged construction provides trouble-free operation and is CIP cleanable.

MICROBATCHER
Designed primarily to interface with AMS flowmeters,, the MB-51P can be used with almost any pulse generating device. Digital process inputs, operator-prompting display for selected control mode, process signal scaling, serial communications, two levels of product, and multiple process variable displays are all features of this compact 7x7x4 unit. The ASC11 port on the unit allows the user to address a programmable controller or computer.

BATCH CONTROLLER
The BC-52P has a six-digit preset counter with a running totalizer, flow rate indicator, five transistor outputs and two form C relay outputs providing two stage shutdown. Additional features include incoming count scaling, programmable decimal points, program lockout, and independent reset/start, stop, mid-cycle resume keys.

SCALING CIRCUIT
This scaling circuit can interface any flowmeters with peripheral devices by shaping and dividing signals to provide regular pulses in engineering units. Circuit boards can be mounted in any existing panel, or supplied as an integral part of other devices. Several input and output options are switch selectable on the board.

PNEUMATIC SAMPLER
When coupled with a flowmeters, the pneumatic sampler provides a proportional representative sample regardless of flow rate. Available with meter and/or time control, the sampler accurately obtains a 1 ml sample per adjustable volume, is easy to install and operate, and is CIP cleanable.

RATE/TOTALIZER
When used with flowmeters, totalizer packages provide simple count display. Units can be used alone or in conjunction with other electronics to provide additional information locally or at remote locations.
