What Magtraps Do:

MAGTRAPS remove the hazards of unwanted ferrous and work-hardened stainless contaminants from processing lines. They capture the finest of particles that pass undetected through electronic metal detectors.

Typically placed in front of pumps, screen and mills, they protect vital plant equipment from metal damage, with its costly resultant -Downtime.

When product purity is paramount, install a MAGTRAP in front of the filter. MAGTRAPS work with virtually all pumped products. Their rare earth magnets catch all sizes of ferrous debris found in product lines. They also capture particles of work-hardened 304 and 316 stainless steels as well as nickel and carbide items that sometime appear in process lines.

Two MAGTRAP Styles:

MAGTRAPS are equipped with either flat plate or "finger" magnets. Use finger MAGTRAPS (Model 135) for liquids, purees and products with smaller included solids. Use flat plate MAGTRAPS (Models 115 & 125) with fragile products (fruit preserves, cooked meat chunks, cottage cheese, etc.), products containing long, sinewy items, larger chunks and hard-to-move products.

MODEL 115

For low volume applications that require gentle flow characteristics. It provides minimum tearing and breakage of fragile solids. An in- ternal baffle diverts the product flow onto a single flat plate mag- net. Available in 2" and 3" line sizes.

Model 115

MODEL 125

For high volume applications requiring gentle flow characteristics. An internal baffle diverts the product flow onto two flat plate magnets. Line sizes to 4". Water jackets are optional. For clarity, the 125-3" is shown with one magnet off.

Model 125

MODEL 135

Our most popular and effective MAGTRAP. Designed specifically for liquids and slurries containing smaller chunks. It handles high flow rates. The product flows past multiple magnetic tubes. Line sizes to 4". Water jackets are optional. For clarity, the above 135-2" is shown upside down, with bottom removed

MAGTRAPS can be supplied with all types of line connections. Models 125 and 135 can have dissimilar inlet and outlet sizes. Magtraps may be mounted in vertical, horizontal or sloped lines without affecting their magnetic efficiency. For complete body drainage (no sump area), install Magtraps I vertical lines. MAGTRAP locations must allow access for cleaning.

We will be pleased to provide you with suggestions and information regarding your application. Complete instructions accompany every MAGTRAP.
