HynesHynes Custom Transformer (click for bigger picture)

The Hynes Impedance Heating System is a unique safe and proven method for electric pipeline heating where your pipe actually becomes the heater when a low AC voltage is applied to it by a special custom designed Hynes Transformer. (Left)

Hynes can provide single source responsibility for design, hardware and startup assistance for an impedance heating system which can heat either gasses or fluids flowing through your pipeline. It can be used over a wide range of temperatures to prevent freezing in cold weather, maintain fluidity of viscous materials, raise the temperature of heat sensitive materials or maintain gas temperatures up to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit.

IPV carries Technitrace Self-regulating Heating elements (FP series) as well as the Power connection kit for pipes.

The FP series (Left) offers Freeze protection and lower temperature maintenance and regulates it's heat output in response to changes in temperature.

The highly engineered, irradiated conductive core increases its heat output when the temperature falls and decreases its temperature when the temperature rises.

To help protect against impact and mechanical abuse, the heating element comes with a 100% tinned copper braid, a flouropolymer outer jacket and is approved by Factory Mutual for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups B,C, and D, Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G, and ClassIII division 2 areas. It is rated T5 per NEC 500-3(b) and is UL recognized under the appliance Wire Classification (file E 76498)

Applications: Tinned copper braid with Fluoropolymer jacket: Gives excellent protection even where exposure to organic chemicals or corrosion is expected.
